Granite Data Services is an avid supporter of open source software. All GraniteDS products are open source and mostly released under the (LGPL 2.1).
However, the following advanced products are released under the (GPL 3.0):
Although the GPL 3.0 has many terms, the most important is that you must provide the source code of your application to your users so they can be free to modify your application for their own needs.
This is the appropriate option if you want to use the JavaFX or Android Client Libraries to develop commercial applications whose source code you want to keep proprietary.
